Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BundleCheck ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

BundleCheck is a tool that analyzes npm packages and provides bundle size estimates. The Service bundles packages using esbuild and calculates raw, minified, gzip, and brotli compressed sizes.

Results are estimates based on the configured bundling runtime and may differ from your production build. Tree-shaking, code splitting, and actual bundle sizes depend on your specific bundler configuration, build process, and usage patterns.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Abuse the Service or exceed rate limits
• Submit traffic intended to degrade reliability or availability
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service to check malicious packages or distribute malware
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use automated systems or scripts to make excessive requests (except via our official API)

4. Service Availability and Modifications

VenMode Labs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the Service without liability.

We aim to maintain greater than 90% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated when possible.

5. Rate Limits

The Service enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage and system stability. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or blocking of requests. Rate limits may be adjusted at any time.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results

Bundle size estimates are provided for informational purposes only. We do not warrant that results accurately reflect production bundle sizes or application performance.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VENMODE LABS AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted to or through the Service
• Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content
• Decisions made based on bundle size estimates provided by the Service

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by VenMode Labs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to packages you submit for analysis. Package data is obtained from the public npm registry and subject to the respective package licenses.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data collection and usage practices.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VenMode Labs and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
